Kirsten Manalo

PMHNP-BC, DNP, RN

Kirsten is a board-certified psychiatric/mental health nurse practitioner that specializes in treating a variety of mental health disorders including mood disorders, depression, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, and ADHD. She has 9 years of nursing experience with background specialties in psychiatric/mental health (inpatient and outpatient), medical-surgical nursing, home health, and academia. Her education and experience enables her to treat patients with a holistic approach meaning other factors that affect mental health and well-being are taken into consideration as well. This includes addressing multiple facets of health: emotional, psychological, physiological, sociocultural, and spiritual. Kirsten believes that mental healthcare treatment is not limited to just medications and therapy. It involves looking into other areas of an individual’s life as well including current stressors and stress management, past experiences, relationship dynamics, utilization of resources and support systems, overall health, and lifestyle.

Kirsten is passionate in helping individuals become the best version of themselves by providing support in navigating through the challenges of life. She strives to deliver the highest quality of care by taking time to establish rapport with each patient and work in collaboration with them to meet their treatment goals. Kirsten follows evidence-based practice with an emphasis on patient-centered care, taking time to formulate diagnosis, providing psychoeducation on medications and treatment, giving recommendations based on clinical judgment, while taking into consideration patient preferences, making sure to address any questions and concerns along the way.

In her free time, she enjoys being outdoors, doing something active (surfing, rock climbing, yoga, pilates, spin class), traveling, and spending time with loved ones.
